Chinese delicate Kangxi Period conical shaped bowls, with finely incised dragons chasing “the flaming pearl” along the sides and in the central medallion, ground is with a monochrome green glaze, both have the apocryphal Ming dynasty mark of Jiajing (1522-1566). The Ming dynasty mark was not used to deceive, but to pay reverence to an earlier period. |
