Fukusa “Harvesting Tea”



Japanese textile of silk fukusa known as a “gift cover”, two women harvesting tea, exceptional composition well balanced with form and color, depicting great beauty much like a painting, women are exquisitely dressed in kimonos, at their feet is a hat and basket embroidered with gold metal accents, tea plants have painted leaves, finely woven with painted and embroidered detail, matted and framed.
